Laying the Groundwork: Initial TLLP Meeting

Our TLLP team met today for the first time following the TLLP training conference. Deb and I were able to share some of the important information we gathered there, with Allison. We discussed some of the roles we will have during our project, as well as general timelines for various elements within it. Allison will be keeping track of our budget and has started a document for this purpose. I will be responsible for creating and updating our blog. The blog will serve as a platform for documenting our progress throughout the TLLP.
Deb brought a number of articles for our literature review. She has started a binder to house literature pertinent to our learning.She has also arranged for Bridges Technology to come to our school on June 12th so that the TLLP team can further develop our knowledge of various technologies we might use to support students' writing. Prior to this meeting, our plan is to review some of the available literature.
We began to discuss how we might go about choosing students for our case study. We will talk more about this prior to September. We will likely chose 1-2 students per classroom. Permission will need to be granted from parents as well.
